Beaucarnea
recurvata
The Beaucarnea recurvata or "Ponytail" Palm
is not a palm at all. It is native to Mexico and part
of the Agave family. It makes a nice addition to any
palm landscape with its flowing and drooping green
foliage. The most unique characteristic is its swollen
trunk base. The thickening trunk serves as a water
reservoir against dry spells. Does well indoors or
out, low light or high, wet or dry
